Time left: 01d:09h:23m
$
This market will resolve to "Up" if the XAU/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the XAU/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the XAU/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/xau-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink XAU/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-11-04T00:30:00Z

Currently, it’s important to note that prediction market odds reflect the collective wisdom of traders on Predict, and may differ from traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts often provide point estimates or ranges for gold price movements, this market aggregates diverse opinions into a probability distribution. It’s common to see discrepancies, as analysts may rely on different models or prioritize varying economic indicators. Comparing this market's implied probability to the consensus view of financial analysts can offer valuable insights into market sentiment and potential price volatility.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the gold price will go up or down. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective expectation of the market participants. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price indicates the probability that the market assigns to the outcome, and traders can adjust their positions as new information becomes available. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market remains responsive to changing conditions and reflects the latest insights.
This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the price movement of gold during the 7:30PM-7:45PM ET window on November 3rd. A verified price increase during that period will result in a payout for those who predicted gold would go up, while a price decrease will favor those who bet on a downward movement. The final determination will rely on established financial data sources to ensure accuracy and transparency.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before Nov 4, 2026. Unexpected economic data releases, such as inflation figures or employment reports, often impact gold prices. Geopolitical events, including shifts in global political stability or major international incidents, can also drive investor demand for gold as a safe-haven asset. Furthermore, statements from central banks regarding monetary policy, particularly concerning interest rates, are closely watched by traders. Any surprise announcements or shifts in market sentiment related to these events could lead to substantial price movements and volatility in this market.
