This market will resolve to "Up" if the XAU/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the XAU/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the XAU/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/xau-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink XAU/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-11-03T19:00:00Z

Currently, the collective wisdom of traders in this market offers a distinct perspective compared to traditional analyst forecasts for gold. While many analysts are offering predictions on gold’s future performance, this market aggregates diverse opinions in real-time, reflecting a dynamic assessment of potential price movements. It's important to note that prediction market probabilities represent what traders believe will happen, not necessarily what they *expect* to happen, potentially capturing a wider range of scenarios than typical point estimates from financial news sources.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the gold price will go up or down during the specified timeframe. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, directly translating into implied probabilities. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price reflects the collective judgment of all participants, and any new information or shifts in sentiment are rapidly incorporated into the odds. This dynamic pricing mechanism provides a real-time assessment of the likelihood of each outcome.
This market resolves around Nov 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be determined by whether the gold price, as reported by a major financial data provider, moved up or down between 2:00 PM and 2:15 PM ET on November 3rd. The final price change will be assessed against established benchmarks to ensure an accurate and transparent resolution process. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final outcome.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before resolution. Unexpected economic data releases, such as inflation figures or employment numbers, often impact gold prices. Geopolitical events, including shifts in international relations or unexpected political developments, can also drive volatility. Furthermore, major news related to central bank policies, particularly regarding interest rates, could influence investor sentiment towards gold. Any significant shifts in the US dollar’s strength or weakness will also likely affect trading activity in this market.
