Resolves Nov 3, 2026
Time left: 19h:20m:50s
$
This market will resolve to "Up" if the XAU/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the XAU/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the XAU/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/xau-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink XAU/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-11-03T19:30:00Z

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While many analysts are offering predictions about the direction of the gold price, this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd, allowing traders to weigh information and express their beliefs directly through their trades. This can lead to divergences, as the market isn’t limited by the biases or constraints of individual analysts’ models. Examining these differences can provide valuable insights into market sentiment and potential blind spots in conventional analysis.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the gold price will move up or down by Nov 3, 2026. The price of these contracts directly reflects the implied probability of each outcome. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market dynamically adjusts as new information becomes available and traders update their views, creating a real-time assessment of potential price movements. This is different than static polls, as traders have 'skin in the game' and are incentivized to be accurate in their predictions.
This market resolves around Nov 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on the change in the spot price of gold between 2:30 PM and 2:45 PM ET on November 3rd. Whether the market concludes that the price went up or down will be determined by comparing the closing price during that 15-minute window to the opening price, as reported by a recognized financial data source. The outcome is not dependent on any single individual’s opinion.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before Nov 3, 2026. Major economic data releases, such as inflation reports or employment numbers, often impact gold prices. Geopolitical events, including shifts in global political stability or trade tensions, can also drive demand for gold as a safe-haven asset. Unexpected announcements from central banks regarding monetary policy, like interest rate changes, are likely to influence the market. Even significant news related to major gold-producing countries or large institutional investors could cause shifts in trading activity.
