This market will resolve to "Up" if the XAU/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the XAU/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the XAU/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/xau-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink XAU/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-11-02T05:00:00Z

Currently, analysts are divided on the short-term trajectory of gold, with some predicting a slight increase due to geopolitical uncertainty and others forecasting a decline based on anticipated interest rate hikes. This market provides a different perspective, aggregating the wisdom of the crowd and reflecting what traders believe will actually happen. Often, prediction market odds offer a more accurate forecast than traditional polls or expert opinions, as traders have a financial incentive to be correct. However, it's important to remember that both approaches have their limitations and can be influenced by various factors.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether gold will go up or down. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a real-time probability assessment. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price reflects the collective judgment of all participants, and the odds will shift as new information becomes available or sentiment changes. The current volume indicates the level of interest and confidence in each potential outcome.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on the change in the gold price between 12:00 AM ET and 12:15 AM ET on November 2nd. A rise in price during this period will result in a payout for those who predicted 'Up,' while a decrease will favor those who bet on 'Down.' The precise price change will be sourced from established financial data providers to ensure accuracy and transparency.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before Nov 2, 2026. Unexpected economic data releases, such as inflation figures or employment reports, often trigger price movements in gold. Geopolitical events, including escalating tensions or major political announcements, can also drive investors towards gold as a safe-haven asset. Central bank policy decisions, particularly regarding interest rates, are another key catalyst. Finally, major news related to global economic growth or currency fluctuations could also influence trader sentiment and shift the odds in this market.
