This market will resolve to "Up" if the XAU/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the XAU/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the XAU/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/xau-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink XAU/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-11-03T03:15:00Z

Currently, it's important to note that prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts might rely on fundamental and technical analysis, this market represents the wisdom of the crowd, incorporating a wider range of information and potential unforeseen events. The question of whether prediction markets outperform expert forecasts is a subject of ongoing debate, but this market offers a unique data point for comparison. It’s a fascinating way to see how collective intelligence assesses the likelihood of the gold price moving up or down.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the future gold price movement. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, directly reflecting the collective probability assigned to each outcome. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price essentially represents the current consensus expectation, and changes in volume and trading activity can signal shifts in sentiment. Traders are constantly adjusting their positions, leading to a dynamic and informative price discovery process.
This market resolves around Nov 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on the change in the gold price between 10:15 PM ET and 10:30 PM ET on November 2nd. The direction of the price movement – whether it goes up or down – will determine the winning outcome. The resolution process relies on publicly available data to ensure a transparent and objective determination of the result for this market.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before its resolution. Unexpected economic data releases, such as inflation figures or employment reports, often impact gold prices. Geopolitical events, like shifts in international relations or unexpected political instability, can also drive investment towards gold as a safe-haven asset. Furthermore, major news related to central bank policies, particularly regarding interest rates, could influence investor sentiment. Any surprise announcements or developments in these areas have the potential to cause substantial shifts in the odds for this market.
