This market tracks the performance of David Burck in the FL-22 Republican primary election. It focuses on whether his share of the vote meets or exceeds various percentage thresholds. The outcome depends solely on the officially certified results of the election.
The market resolves to Yes if David Burck receives a certified vote percentage within the specified range for each respective market, from 10% up to 40% to 100%. Vote percentage is calculated by dividing the total valid votes he receives by the total valid votes cast, multiplied by 100 and rounded as specified. Only certified results are used for resolution; preliminary figures, write-in votes (if certified), and invalid or rejected ballots are excluded from calculations. If the election is canceled, postponed beyond the market expiration, or no certified results are available by the expiration date, the market resolves to No. Recounts that adjust the certified percentage before expiration will use the most recent certified figure. Multiple voting rounds, such as ranked-choice voting, will use the specified round or the first round if unspecified.
On Kalshi, this market reflects trader sentiment about the expected vote share, which can diverge from public polling averages. Traders may price in factors not captured by polls, such as campaign dynamics or local issues. While polls offer a broad view of voter preferences, this market incorporates real-time betting activity and can react more quickly to emerging news. The difference between the two can highlight where market participants see opportunities or risks that pollsters might overlook, especially in a tightly contested race.
On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Kalshi, traders set the price through buying and selling contracts that pay out based on David Burck’s vote share. The current implied chance reflects the market’s collective view of his prospects, adjusting continuously with new information and trading volume. This price mechanism captures how participants value uncertainties unique to this race.
This market resolves around Aug 18, 2027, with the outcome confirmed once the official vote count is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final percentage of votes David Burck receives will settle all positions, regardless of how close the race ends up being.
