This market often moves in tandem with public polling, but can diverge when traders incorporate factors like fundraising strength, debate performance, or local endorsements. While polls give a snapshot of voter intent, this market adds a layer of trader speculation that may price in late-breaking news or strategic dynamics not yet reflected in surveys.
This market resolves around Aug 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the primary election results are verifiable from credible public reporting. The winner is determined by official vote tallies, and this market settles accordingly — no additional interpretation or external criteria are needed beyond the publicly recorded results.
Poll releases, candidate debate performance, fundraising announcements, and local endorsements can all shift this market as they change perceptions of viability and voter appeal. Media coverage of gaffes or policy missteps may also sway traders. As Aug 18, 2026 approaches, voting early indicators and turnout forecasts often drive sharp price movements, especially if polls tighten or unexpected developments alter the race dynamics.
