Description

These markets track whether Ethereum's price (ETH/USDT on Binance) moves up or down on specific dates by comparing the noon ET closing price from the previous day to the noon ET closing price on the target date. The group contains two separate markets: one tracking July 7 (on the predict platform) and one tracking July 9 (on the polymarket platform).

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: The event group title specifies July 9, but the predict platform market resolves on July 7 using a July 6-to-July 7 comparison window, while polymarket correctly resolves on July 9 using a July 8-to-July 9 comparison window. This is a scope and timing mismatch.Hero tip: Verify the intended scope of this event group. If the group should track only July 9, remove or correct the predict platform market. If both dates are intentional, rename the group to reflect multiple dates or split into separate groups. Traders should not assume cross-platform correlation.

Critical divergence points:

  • predict: Market titled 'Ethereum Up or Down on July 7?' resolves by comparing Binance ETH/USDT close prices at July 6 12:00 ET (baseline) versus July 7 12:00 ET (target). Resolves 'Up' if July 6 price is lower than July 7 price. Key quote: 'This market will resolve to Up if the Close price for the Binance 1 minute candle for ETH/USDT Jul 6 26 12:00 in the ET timezone (noon) is lower than the final Close price for the Jul 7 26 12:00 ET candle.'
  • polymarket: Market titled 'Ethereum Up or Down on July 9?' resolves by comparing Binance ETH/USDT close prices at July 8 12:00 ET (baseline) versus July 9 12:00 ET (target). Resolves 'Up' if July 8 price is lower than July 9 price. Key quote: 'This market will resolve to Up if the Close price for the Binance 1 minute candle for ETH/USDT Jul 8 26 12:00 in the ET timezone (noon) is lower than the final Close price for the Jul 9 26 12:00 ET candle.'
