Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect traders' collective belief about Ethereum's direction during that specific 4-hour window, which often diverges from longer-term spot price forecasts. While spot markets price Ethereum continuously across all timeframes, this event market isolates a precise 4-hour period, creating a narrower focus. The odds may shift sharply if major news breaks close to the May 31st window, even if spot price sentiment remains unchanged.

On Polymarket, this event is priced as a binary outcome: Ethereum either moves up or down during the May 31, 12:00AM–4:00AM ET window. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome, with the price of each share reflecting the market's probability estimate. As traders place orders, the price adjusts in real time based on supply and demand. The current odds and 24-hour volume on Polymarket show how actively traders are positioning ahead of the resolution window. Liquidity depth affects how easily you can enter or exit positions at competitive prices.

The market resolves at May 31, 2026, marking the end of the specified 4-hour trading window on May 31st. Resolution is determined by comparing Ethereum's price at the start of the window to its price at the close, establishing whether the net movement was up or down. The exact price feed and settlement methodology are defined in the market's terms at creation. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout once resolution is finalized and verified on chain.

Major catalysts include regulatory announcements, macroeconomic data releases, or significant moves in Bitcoin or broader equity markets during that 4-hour window. Ethereum-specific news such as protocol upgrades, exchange inflows or outflows, or large whale transactions could trigger sharp directional moves. Geopolitical events or central bank statements released during or just before the May 31st window may spike volatility. Technical levels and support or resistance zones established in the days leading up to the event often act as flashpoints. Market sentiment shifts driven by social media, analyst calls, or derivative liquidations can also influence price action within the narrow timeframe.
