Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect trader consensus on Ethereum's direction by May 31, 11PM ET, and often diverge from spot price momentum alone. While spot markets react to immediate price action, prediction markets incorporate longer-term sentiment, macro catalysts, and tail-risk hedging. Comparing Polymarket odds to analyst forecasts and on-chain volume can reveal whether the market is pricing in consensus or contrarian views on Ethereum's near-term trajectory.

Ethereum's price direction through May 31, 11PM ET could be driven by major network upgrades, regulatory announcements, macroeconomic shifts, or Bitcoin momentum. Staking yield changes, DeFi protocol developments, and large whale transactions often trigger volatility. Broader crypto sentiment, Federal Reserve policy signals, and traditional market risk-off events can push Ethereum lower. Positive catalysts include institutional adoption news, layer-two scaling milestones, or bullish technical breakouts. Watch on-chain metrics like exchange inflows and active addresses for early signals. Geopolitical events and competing layer-one blockchains also influence trader positioning on Polymarket as the resolution date approaches.
