This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, Ethereum Up or Down - May 31, 10AM ET is priced as a binary contract where traders buy or sell shares representing each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the implied probability; a share trading at 0.65 implies a 65% chance of that outcome occurring. Liquidity and order-book depth on Polymarket determine how easily traders can enter or exit positions. As the May 31 resolution date approaches, prices typically converge toward either 0 or 1 based on actual Ethereum price movement and market certainty.
The market resolves on May 31, 2026. Resolution is determined by Ethereum's price direction at the specified time. Traders should monitor the exact reference price source and time window used by Polymarket to avoid ambiguity. Once the snapshot is taken, the outcome is settled and shares are redeemed at their final value. Early resolution or delays are possible if technical issues or data disputes arise, so checking Polymarket's official event page before the deadline is essential.
Major catalysts for Ethereum price direction include regulatory announcements, macroeconomic shifts, Bitcoin momentum, Ethereum network upgrades, and institutional adoption news. On-chain metrics such as whale accumulation, staking changes, and developer activity can signal bullish or bearish sentiment. Broader crypto market events, Federal Reserve policy, and geopolitical developments also influence Ethereum's trajectory. Technical levels and options expiry dates may create short-term volatility. Monitoring these signals helps traders assess whether prediction market odds accurately reflect the probability of an up or down move by May 31, 10AM ET.
