This market will resolve to "Up" if the Ethereum price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than or equal to the price at the beginning of that range. Otherwise, it will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Chainlink, specifically the ETH/USD data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/eth-usd. Please note that this market is about the price according to Chainlink data stream ETH/USD, not according to other sources or spot markets.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, the Ethereum Up or Down - May 29, 8:00PM-12:00AM ET contract is priced as a binary outcome with two competing shares: one for Ethereum moving up and one for moving down during the specified window. The price of each share reflects the implied probability traders assign to that outcome, ranging from 0 to 100 cents. Liquidity and order flow on Polymarket determine how quickly prices adjust to new information, and traders can enter or exit positions continuously until the market resolves at May 30, 2026.
Several catalysts could influence Ethereum's direction during the May 29 window, including major cryptocurrency news, regulatory announcements, macroeconomic data releases, or Bitcoin price movements. Technical levels and support or resistance zones may trigger algorithmic trading. Staking updates, layer-2 developments, or broader market sentiment shifts could also drive volatility. Traders monitoring Polymarket odds should watch for real-time shifts in implied probability as these events unfold, as prediction markets often price in anticipated catalysts before they occur.
