This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, the Ethereum Up or Down - June 9, 7PM ET event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy or sell shares representing each outcome. Share prices range from 0 to 100 cents, with the implied probability derived directly from the current market price. Higher prices indicate stronger trader conviction in that outcome. Polymarket uses an automated market maker model, so prices adjust dynamically as new trades execute. Liquidity and recent trading volume influence how quickly prices respond to new information about Ethereum's price action.
The Ethereum Up or Down - June 9, 7PM ET market resolves on Jun 10, 2026. Resolution occurs after the specified time window closes and the final Ethereum price is confirmed. The outcome is determined by comparing Ethereum's price at the resolution timestamp against the reference level established at market creation. Traders who correctly predicted the direction receive their winnings, while incorrect positions expire worthless. The exact price source and methodology are specified in the market's terms to ensure transparent, objective settlement.
Key catalysts for Ethereum price movement include macroeconomic data releases, Federal Reserve communications, Bitcoin price swings, and Ethereum-specific developments such as network upgrades or major smart contract deployments. Regulatory announcements affecting crypto markets, institutional adoption news, and shifts in staking or DeFi activity can also drive volatility. Technical levels and options expiry dates may trigger algorithmic trading. On-chain metrics like exchange inflows and whale transactions provide early signals of directional bias. Monitoring these factors helps traders assess whether current market odds on Polymarket reflect the full range of near-term risks.
