This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, Ethereum Up or Down - June 9, 6PM ET is priced as a binary contract where traders buy or sell shares representing each outcome. The price of each share reflects the market's implied probability, ranging from near 0 to near 100. Liquidity, order flow, and real-time trading activity determine the spread and execution quality. As the June 9 deadline approaches, prices typically tighten and volatility may increase. Traders can enter or exit positions at any time before resolution, with payouts determined by the final Ethereum price direction at the specified time.
Ethereum's price direction by June 9 could be influenced by major regulatory announcements, Bitcoin momentum, macroeconomic data, and Ethereum-specific developments such as network upgrades or staking changes. Large institutional trades, shifts in DeFi activity, and changes in broader crypto sentiment also drive short-term volatility. Geopolitical events and traditional market corrections can trigger risk-off selling. Monitor on-chain metrics, funding rates, and social sentiment for early signals. Technical levels and support or resistance zones may also guide price action as the resolution date approaches.
