This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect aggregate trader conviction about Ethereum's direction by June 9, 1AM ET, which may differ from current spot price momentum or technical analysis. While spot prices react to immediate supply and demand, prediction markets price in longer-term expectations and tail risks. Comparing Polymarket odds to analyst forecasts, on-chain metrics, and macroeconomic sentiment can reveal whether the market is pricing in bullish or bearish scenarios relative to consensus views. Divergences often signal opportunities or hedging demand among sophisticated traders.
On Polymarket, the Ethereum Up or Down - June 9, 1AM ET market is priced as a binary contract where traders buy or sell shares representing each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the cumulative bets placed by all participants; as traders buy up one side, that outcome's price rises and the opposing side falls, always summing to 100 percent. Polymarket uses an automated market maker model, so prices adjust dynamically with each trade. Liquidity depth and order flow determine how quickly prices move in response to new information or sentiment shifts.
The Ethereum Up or Down - June 9, 1AM ET market resolves on Jun 9, 2026. At that time, the outcome is determined by Ethereum's price movement according to the event's specified criteria. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing shares expire worthless. Resolution occurs automatically once the reference price is confirmed and the market settles. All positions close at resolution, and no further trading is possible after the deadline passes.
Key catalysts for Ethereum's direction include major protocol upgrades, regulatory announcements affecting crypto markets, macroeconomic data (inflation, interest rates), Bitcoin price movements, and large institutional trades or whale activity. Network developments, security incidents, or shifts in staking yields can also influence sentiment. Broader market risk-off events, central bank communications, and competing blockchain announcements may trigger volatility. Traders monitor on-chain metrics, derivatives funding rates, and social sentiment to anticipate directional moves. Any significant news flow between now and June 9, 1AM ET could shift market odds materially.
