Key catalysts for Ethereum price direction include major protocol upgrades, regulatory announcements, macroeconomic data, and Bitcoin momentum. Technical levels, options expiry dates, and large on-chain transfers can trigger sharp moves. Staking yield changes, layer-2 adoption metrics, and developer activity also influence sentiment. Market-wide events such as Fed policy shifts or equity market volatility often correlate with crypto swings. Monitoring social sentiment, whale wallet activity, and derivative funding rates can help you anticipate directional shifts before they materialize on spot exchanges.
