This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, the Ethereum Up or Down - June 8, 6PM ET market is priced as two competing outcomes: traders buy and sell shares representing either an up or down move. The price of each share reflects the implied probability of that outcome, ranging from 0 to 100 cents. As traders place orders, the automated market maker adjusts prices to balance supply and demand. Higher trading volume typically narrows spreads and increases price accuracy, while lower volume can create wider bid-ask gaps and more volatile price swings.
The Ethereum Up or Down - June 8, 6PM ET market resolves at Jun 8, 2026. At that moment, the outcome is determined by comparing Ethereum's price at the specified resolution time against a reference baseline. Traders who backed the correct direction receive their payout, while those on the losing side forfeit their stake. The resolution is final once confirmed, and all positions settle accordingly on Polymarket.
Key catalysts for Ethereum price direction include macroeconomic data releases, Federal Reserve communications, and Bitcoin momentum, since Ethereum often correlates with broader crypto sentiment. Layer 2 scaling updates, staking yield changes, or major smart contract platform news can also shift trader expectations. Regulatory announcements affecting crypto markets, large exchange inflows or outflows, and shifts in DeFi activity may trigger repricing on Polymarket. Technical levels and options expiry dates can amplify volatility near the resolution window.
