This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy or sell shares representing "Ethereum Up" or "Ethereum Down" outcomes. The current implied probability of each outcome is reflected in share prices, which move as traders adjust positions. Liquidity and order-book depth on Polymarket determine how easily traders can enter or exit positions at competitive rates. Real-time price discovery on this venue aggregates all participant expectations into a single market-clearing price for each outcome.
The market resolves at Jun 9, 2026. At that moment, the outcome is determined by comparing Ethereum's price at the specified time against the reference level established at market creation. Traders who correctly predicted the direction receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. The resolution process is automated once the reference price is confirmed, ensuring all positions settle fairly and simultaneously. This fixed deadline and clear price-based criteria eliminate ambiguity and allow traders to plan their positions with certainty.
Ethereum price direction by June 8, 11PM ET depends on macro crypto sentiment, regulatory announcements, Bitcoin correlation, and Ethereum-specific developments like network upgrades or major DeFi activity. Broader market events—Federal Reserve policy, risk-on or risk-off sentiment, or institutional adoption news—often drive large moves. Technical levels and options expiry dates can create volatility spikes. On-chain metrics like exchange inflows and whale transactions may signal accumulation or distribution. Traders monitor these signals continuously to adjust positions, making prediction market odds a real-time gauge of evolving expectations.
