This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, Ethereum Up or Down - June 8, 10AM ET is priced as a binary contract where traders buy YES or NO shares corresponding to each outcome. The price of each share reflects the implied probability, ranging from near 0 to near 100. Liquidity pools and order books on Polymarket determine the spread and slippage for each trade. As new information emerges or trader conviction shifts, prices adjust dynamically. The final settlement price depends on the verified spot price of Ethereum at the exact resolution timestamp.
Major catalysts for Ethereum price direction include regulatory announcements, macroeconomic data releases, Bitcoin momentum shifts, and Ethereum-specific developments such as network upgrades or staking changes. Large liquidations or funding rate spikes on derivatives exchanges can trigger sharp moves. Broader crypto sentiment, central bank policy signals, and institutional inflows or outflows also influence directional bias. Technical levels and options expiry clustering may create support or resistance. Monitoring on-chain activity, whale transactions, and social sentiment can help traders anticipate volatility before the June 8 resolution.
