This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, Ethereum Up or Down - June 7, 8PM ET is priced as a binary contract where traders buy or sell shares representing either an up or down outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the ratio of capital allocated to each side; higher buy pressure on the up outcome pushes its price higher and vice versa. Polymarket uses an automated market maker model, so prices adjust continuously as trades flow in. Traders can enter or exit positions at any time before Jun 8, 2026, and the final settlement price depends on Ethereum's actual directional movement at market close on the specified date and time.
The market resolves at Jun 8, 2026. Resolution is determined by Ethereum's price direction at the specified time on June 7, 8PM ET. The outcome hinges on whether Ethereum closes up or down relative to a reference price established at market creation. Once the resolution time passes, the outcome is finalized and traders receive payouts based on their positions. Early traders can exit before resolution, but those holding through the end will receive the binary payout corresponding to the actual outcome.
Several catalysts could influence Ethereum's directional move by June 7, 8PM ET. Regulatory announcements, especially from the SEC or international bodies, often trigger sharp price swings. Ethereum network upgrades, staking changes, or major smart contract exploits can shift sentiment. Macro events—Federal Reserve policy shifts, stock market volatility, or Bitcoin movements—frequently drag Ethereum along. Institutional adoption news, DeFi protocol developments, and large whale transactions can also move the needle. On-chain metrics like exchange inflows, whale accumulation, and developer activity may signal trader positioning. Monitoring these signals helps traders adjust their Polymarket positions before the market closes.
