This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect trader conviction about Ethereum's directional move by June 6, 8PM ET, often diverging from spot price alone. While spot price shows current market value, prediction odds incorporate forward-looking sentiment and tail-risk premiums. Comparing these odds to analyst price targets or on-chain sentiment indicators can reveal whether the market is pricing in optimism or caution relative to fundamental expectations. Traders use this gap to identify potential mispricings or consensus shifts in real time.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy or sell shares representing "Ethereum Up" or "Ethereum Down" outcomes. The current odds reflect the collective trading activity and capital allocation across both sides. Prices move continuously as new orders flow in, with the spread between bid and ask tightening or widening based on liquidity and conviction. Polymarket's automated market maker mechanics ensure transparent, real-time pricing that updates instantly as market sentiment shifts toward either outcome.
The market resolves at Jun 7, 2026. Resolution is determined by Ethereum's price movement relative to a specified baseline at the exact time and date stated in the event title. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing shares expire worthless. The precise price reference point and data source used for settlement are defined in the market's terms at creation. Once the resolution time passes, the outcome is locked in and payouts are distributed automatically.
Key catalysts include major regulatory announcements, Bitcoin price movements, macroeconomic data releases, and Ethereum network upgrades or security incidents. Large derivative liquidations or spot exchange inflows can trigger sharp directional moves. Sentiment shifts from social media, whale wallet activity, or institutional news can also sway odds rapidly. Technical levels and support/resistance zones matter for short-term traders. Monitoring on-chain metrics, funding rates, and order book depth on major exchanges helps predict which way the market will lean before the June 6, 8PM ET snapshot.
