This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect trader consensus on Ethereum's direction by Jun 6, 2026, which may differ from current spot price momentum. Spot markets price Ethereum based on immediate supply and demand, while prediction markets embed forward-looking expectations and tail-risk premiums. Traders often use prediction market odds as a contrarian signal against technical analysis or analyst price targets. If prediction odds diverge significantly from spot volatility expectations, it may signal either market inefficiency or informed positioning ahead of the resolution window.
The Ethereum Up or Down - June 6, 5AM ET market resolves on Jun 6, 2026. At that time, the outcome is determined by comparing Ethereum's price at the specified timestamp against the reference level established at market creation. The winning outcome is paid out to holders of the correct shares, while losing shares expire worthless. Resolution is final once the market closes and settlement is confirmed on the blockchain.
Key catalysts for Ethereum price direction include macroeconomic data releases, Federal Reserve communications, and crypto-specific regulatory announcements. Major smart contract exploits, network upgrades, or changes in staking dynamics could shift sentiment. Bitcoin price movements often drive Ethereum volatility, as do shifts in DeFi lending rates and large exchange inflows or outflows. Technical levels, options expiry clustering, and derivatives funding rates may also influence price action. Traders should monitor on-chain metrics, whale wallet activity, and broader risk-asset sentiment heading into the resolution window.
