This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect aggregated trader belief about Ethereum's directional move by June 6, 4AM ET, which may diverge from current spot price momentum or technical analysis. While spot markets react to immediate supply and demand, prediction markets price in longer-term conviction and tail risks. Comparing Polymarket odds to analyst price targets or on-chain sentiment gauges can reveal whether traders expect a reversal, continuation, or consolidation. Significant gaps between market odds and consensus forecasts often signal high uncertainty or contrarian positioning.
On Polymarket, Ethereum Up or Down - June 6, 4AM ET is priced as a binary contract where each outcome trades as a separate share. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the ratio of buy and sell orders for each side. Traders purchase shares at prices between 0 and 1 (representing 0–100% implied probability), with payouts determined by which outcome resolves true. Liquidity pools and order books on Polymarket determine the spread and slippage for position entry and exit around the June 6 deadline.
Key catalysts for Ethereum price direction include macroeconomic data releases, Federal Reserve communications, and crypto-specific developments such as network upgrades or regulatory announcements. Bitcoin volatility often drives Ethereum sentiment, while Ethereum-specific events like staking changes or major DeFi protocol news can shift directional bias. On-chain metrics such as whale accumulation, exchange inflows, and derivative positioning may signal institutional conviction. Market-wide risk-off events or geopolitical shocks can also trigger sharp moves ahead of the June 6 deadline, influencing prediction market odds in real time.
