This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect traders' collective belief about Ethereum's directional move by June 6, 3AM ET, which may differ from current spot price momentum or analyst forecasts. While spot prices react to immediate news and technical levels, prediction markets incorporate longer-term sentiment and tail-risk expectations. Comparing Polymarket odds to analyst price targets or on-chain metrics can reveal whether the market is pricing in optimism or caution relative to fundamental signals. Divergences between these views often signal trading opportunities.
On Polymarket, this event is priced through an automated market maker that sets odds based on the ratio of shares held in each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy shares in either the up or down outcome; the more capital flows into one side, the higher its price climbs and the lower the opposing outcome becomes. The current implied probability reflects the balance of buy and sell orders. Prices update continuously as traders adjust positions, allowing real-time discovery of the market's consensus on Ethereum's directional move by the deadline.
The market resolves at Jun 6, 2026. At that moment, Ethereum's price action relative to the specified threshold determines whether the up or down outcome wins. Traders who backed the correct direction receive their payout, while the losing side forfeits their stake. The resolution is final once the outcome is confirmed, and all positions settle accordingly. Timing is critical; any price movement in the final moments before the deadline can shift the result.
Major catalysts include Federal Reserve policy announcements, Bitcoin price swings, Ethereum network upgrades or security incidents, and macroeconomic data releases. Regulatory news—especially from the SEC or international bodies—can trigger sharp directional moves. On-chain metrics like exchange inflows, whale transactions, and staking changes also influence sentiment. Technical levels and options expiry dates may create support or resistance. Geopolitical events and traditional market volatility can spill into crypto. Traders monitor these signals closely to adjust positions before the June 6, 3AM ET deadline.
