Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy or sell shares representing "Ethereum Up" or "Ethereum Down" outcomes. The current odds reflect the collective trading activity and liquidity on Polymarket's order book. Share prices range from 0 to 1, with the sum equaling 1.00; higher prices indicate stronger market conviction toward that outcome. Traders profit by buying undervalued outcomes or selling overvalued ones before resolution. Polymarket's AMM and order-book hybrid model ensures continuous pricing and deep liquidity for this high-interest crypto event.

The market resolves on Jun 5, 2026. At that time, the outcome is determined by comparing Ethereum's spot price at the specified resolution timestamp against the reference price established at market creation. The binary structure means one outcome will be marked correct and the other incorrect based on whether Ethereum's price moved in the predicted direction. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. Resolution is final once confirmed, and all positions settle accordingly.

Key catalysts for Ethereum price movement include major network upgrades, regulatory announcements, macroeconomic data releases, and Bitcoin price action. Staking yield changes, DeFi protocol developments, and large exchange inflows or outflows can trigger volatility. Broader crypto sentiment shifts driven by Fed policy, equity market weakness, or geopolitical events often correlate with Ethereum moves. Technical levels and options expiry clustering may also influence short-term direction. Traders monitor on-chain metrics, whale wallet activity, and futures funding rates to anticipate directional pressure before the June 5 resolution.
