This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this binary event is priced as two complementary outcomes: Ethereum Up and Ethereum Down. Each outcome has a probability that sums to 100 percent. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each direction, and the current market price of each share reflects the live probability. As new information surfaces—regulatory news, macroeconomic shifts, or technical developments—traders adjust positions, moving prices and odds in real time. Liquidity and trading volume on Polymarket determine how quickly prices respond to new catalysts.
The market resolves on Jun 5, 2026. Resolution is determined by Ethereum's price movement relative to the reference level at the specified time on June 4 at 7PM ET. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing shares expire worthless. The exact reference price and measurement methodology are defined in the market's terms at creation. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the deadline once the reference data is confirmed and finalized by the platform.
Key catalysts include regulatory announcements affecting crypto markets, macroeconomic data releases, major protocol upgrades or security incidents, Bitcoin price movements, and shifts in institutional or retail sentiment. Geopolitical events, central bank policy signals, and large on-chain transactions can also trigger volatility. Technical levels and support/resistance zones may attract algorithmic trading. Social media trends and influencer commentary can amplify short-term swings. Market-wide liquidity events or derivative liquidations may create sharp directional moves. Traders monitor all these signals to adjust their positions ahead of the June 4 deadline.
