This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this event is priced as a binary contract where each outcome—Ethereum Up or Ethereum Down—trades as a separate share. The price of each share reflects the market's probability estimate, ranging from 0 to 100 cents. Traders buy the outcome they believe will occur; if correct at resolution, they receive the full payout. Prices adjust dynamically based on order flow and liquidity. Higher prices indicate stronger market conviction for that outcome. Volume and bid-ask spreads on Polymarket show how actively traders are positioning ahead of the June 4 deadline.
The market resolves at Jun 4, 2026. At that moment, the outcome is determined by Ethereum's price direction relative to the specified reference point. The resolution hinges on whether Ethereum has moved up or down by the designated threshold or time window. Once the resolution criteria are met, the winning outcome is confirmed and traders holding the correct shares receive their payout. Timing is critical—trades placed after the snapshot time may not be eligible, so monitor the countdown carefully as June 4, 1PM ET approaches.
Major catalysts for Ethereum price direction include regulatory announcements, macroeconomic data releases, Bitcoin momentum shifts, and Ethereum-specific developments like network upgrades or staking changes. Broader crypto sentiment, Federal Reserve policy signals, and institutional inflows or outflows can drive significant moves. Technical levels and options expiry dates may also trigger volatility. Market-wide risk-off events or positive DeFi ecosystem news could sway traders' conviction. Monitor on-chain metrics, developer activity, and mainstream financial headlines in the days leading up to June 4, 1PM ET for clues about which direction traders are positioning.
