Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Ethereum price movement market dashboard tracks real-time odds and historical price data for this binary outcome event. The interface displays the current probability that Ethereum will move up or down by the 9 PM ET deadline on June 30. Traders can monitor order-book depth, recent trades, and cumulative volume to gauge market sentiment. The dashboard also shows the spread between bid and ask prices, helping participants assess liquidity and entry points. Historical charts let you review how odds have shifted over time, revealing which catalysts or news events moved trader positioning.

On Polymarket, traders set the odds through an automated market maker (AMM) model, where buy and sell orders adjust the price continuously based on supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more capital flowing into one outcome, the higher its probability climbs, and vice versa. Participants can place limit orders or execute market trades instantly, with the platform taking a small fee on each transaction. The current odds reflect the equilibrium point where buyers and sellers agree, making Polymarket's price a real-time consensus estimate of the likelihood that Ethereum will move up or down by the deadline.

This market resolves around Jul 1, 2026, once the event window closes and the outcome is verifiable from credible public sources. The result will be determined by whether Ethereum's price has moved up or down relative to its level at the start of the event window. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will receive their payout automatically, while losing positions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the deadline as data is confirmed and the platform processes final settlements.

Major catalysts include regulatory announcements, macroeconomic data releases, Bitcoin price swings, and developments in DeFi or Ethereum layer-2 scaling. Large exchange inflows or outflows can signal institutional positioning shifts. Technical levels and support/resistance zones often attract algorithmic traders, creating momentum around key price points. Broader crypto sentiment—driven by Fed policy, inflation reports, or geopolitical news—typically influences Ethereum alongside other assets. Social media trends and whale transactions detected on-chain can also spark rapid repricing as traders adjust their bets closer to the 9 PM ET deadline.
