This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, the Ethereum Up or Down - June 3, 9PM ET event is priced as a binary outcome with two competing contracts: one for Ethereum moving up and one for moving down. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares at prices between 0 and 1 cent, with the sum of both outcomes equaling 1 cent at settlement. The current market probability reflects the ratio of trading volume and open interest in each contract. Prices adjust continuously as new orders flow in, allowing traders to enter or exit positions throughout the event window.
The market resolves on Jun 4, 2026. Resolution is determined by Ethereum's price action at the specified time of June 3, 9PM ET. The outcome hinges on whether the price closes above or below a reference level established at market creation. Traders holding winning outcome shares receive full payout, while losing shares expire worthless. The exact reference price and data source are defined in the market's terms at creation.
Key catalysts for Ethereum price direction include macroeconomic data releases, Federal Reserve communications, and Bitcoin momentum, which often drives altcoin sentiment. Regulatory announcements affecting crypto or staking could shift trader positioning. On-chain metrics such as exchange inflows, whale transactions, and network activity may signal accumulation or distribution. Technical levels and support/resistance zones will influence short-term volatility. Market-wide risk-off events, equity futures weakness, or sudden liquidity shifts can trigger sharp directional moves in the final hours before the June 3, 9PM ET close.
