This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, the Ethereum Up or Down - June 3, 9AM ET contract is priced as a binary outcome: traders buy shares representing either an up or down movement. The price of each outcome reflects the probability assigned by the market, ranging from 0 to 100 cents per share. As traders place orders, the automated market maker adjusts prices in real time. Higher prices indicate stronger conviction in that outcome. Liquidity and order flow on Polymarket determine how quickly prices respond to new information about Ethereum's expected performance.
Major catalysts include Federal Reserve policy announcements, Bitcoin price movements, Ethereum network upgrades or security incidents, and macroeconomic data releases. Regulatory news regarding cryptocurrency classification or enforcement actions can trigger sharp directional moves. On-chain metrics such as large whale transactions, staking changes, or smart contract activity may signal institutional positioning. Market-wide risk sentiment shifts, equity market volatility, and geopolitical events also influence Ethereum's trajectory. Traders monitor these signals closely to adjust their positions ahead of the June 3 resolution window.
