This market will resolve to "Up" if the Ethereum price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than or equal to the price at the beginning of that range. Otherwise, it will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Chainlink, specifically the ETH/USD data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/eth-usd. Please note that this market is about the price according to Chainlink data stream ETH/USD, not according to other sources or spot markets.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect trader consensus on Ethereum's directional movement during that specific four-hour window. These odds can differ from spot price expectations derived from technical analysis or analyst forecasts, since prediction markets price in both probability and uncertainty. Traders on Polymarket incorporate real-time market conditions, volatility, and macroeconomic signals into their bets. Comparing the market's implied probability to independent analyst sentiment or historical volatility patterns can reveal whether the crowd is pricing in optimism or caution relative to other information sources.
On Polymarket, this event is priced as a binary outcome contract reflecting whether Ethereum moves up or down during the June 3rd, 4:00PM–8:00PM ET window. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares corresponding to each outcome, with the market price of each share representing the crowd's probability estimate. Liquidity and order flow on Polymarket determine how quickly prices adjust to new information. As the event window approaches, prices typically tighten as uncertainty resolves and traders gain clarity on market direction.
The market resolves after Jun 4, 2026, once the four-hour trading window on June 3rd closes at 8:00PM ET. Resolution is determined by comparing Ethereum's price at the end of the window against its price at the start of the 4:00PM ET mark. The outcome is binary: either Ethereum closed higher than it opened during that specific period, or it closed lower. Once the window closes and price data is confirmed, the market settles and winning positions are credited.
Ethereum's price during the June 3rd window could be influenced by macroeconomic announcements, Federal Reserve communications, or major crypto news releases timed near that date. Bitcoin volatility often drives Ethereum moves, so BTC momentum is a key signal. Regulatory developments, exchange inflows or outflows, and large on-chain transactions can trigger sharp directional moves. Technical levels and support or resistance zones established in the days leading up to June 3rd may also guide intraday price action. Real-time market sentiment and options expiry events could amplify volatility during the four-hour window.
