This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect trader expectations about Ethereum's directional movement by June 3, 2AM ET, which may differ from current spot price sentiment. While spot markets price Ethereum's immediate value, prediction markets embed forward-looking probability estimates based on collective trader conviction over the specific timeframe. Comparing Polymarket odds to analyst forecasts and on-chain sentiment indicators can reveal whether the market is pricing in bullish or bearish bias relative to broader market expectations.
On Polymarket, the Ethereum Up or Down - June 3, 2AM ET market is priced as a binary contract where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Prices range from 0 to 1 (or 0% to 100%), with the implied probability determined by the current order book depth and recent trades. Higher prices indicate stronger trader conviction toward that outcome. Liquidity and trading volume affect price stability and the ease of entering or exiting positions near resolution.
Key catalysts for Ethereum price movement include major protocol upgrades, regulatory announcements affecting crypto markets, macroeconomic data releases, Bitcoin price swings, and shifts in institutional or retail sentiment. On-chain metrics such as exchange inflows/outflows, whale transactions, and staking changes can signal directional bias. Additionally, broader market events—Federal Reserve decisions, equity market volatility, or competing blockchain developments—may influence trader positioning and ultimately the outcome of this prediction market.
