Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Ethereum price movement market dashboard displays real-time odds for whether ETH will trade higher or lower by the specified time. The interface shows current implied probabilities, historical price charts, and trading activity for this market. Traders use the dashboard to monitor sentiment shifts and place orders as new information emerges. The platform aggregates all buy and sell orders into a single price that reflects the collective forecast of market participants on Ethereum's directional move.

Prediction market odds reveal what traders collectively expect will happen, whereas spot prices reflect current market value. This market's odds can diverge from analyst forecasts or traditional financial models because they incorporate real-money incentives and crowd wisdom. When odds shift sharply, it often signals new information or a change in trader conviction. Comparing the implied probability here to sentiment from on-chain metrics or macro catalysts can highlight where consensus may be mispriced or vulnerable to reversal.

On Polymarket, traders set the odds through an automated market maker that balances buy and sell orders continuously. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price reflects the ratio of capital allocated to each outcome, with higher demand for one side pushing its probability upward. As traders enter positions, the market reprices dynamically. This mechanism ensures that the odds always represent the marginal trader's view and incorporate new information in real time.

This market resolves around Jun 28, 2026, at which point the outcome is determined by whether Ethereum's price has moved up or down relative to its starting level. The result will be verified against credible public sources once the event is observable. Until that moment, traders can continue to buy and sell positions as their outlook changes. Resolution is binary—there is no draw or partial settlement.

Major catalysts include regulatory announcements, macroeconomic data, Bitcoin price action, and Ethereum-specific developments such as network upgrades or staking changes. Large institutional trades or liquidations can also trigger sharp repricing. Social media sentiment and on-chain metrics like exchange inflows may signal accumulation or distribution pressure. Technical levels and options expiry dates can amplify volatility. Traders monitor these signals closely to adjust positions ahead of the resolution window.
