This event group tracks whether Ethereum's price on Binance (ETH/USDT pair) closes higher than or equal to its opening price during a specific 1-hour candle beginning June 28, 2024 at 12:00 AM ET. Resolution depends on the finalized open and close prices from Binance's 1H chart for that exact time window.
This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.

Polymarket and Predict attract different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and fee structures, which naturally creates price divergence. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Platform-specific factors—such as user base composition, trading volume concentration, and settlement rule interpretation—can cause the same outcome to trade at different odds. Arbitrage traders exploit these spreads, but friction costs and platform-specific risks prevent instant convergence. Monitoring both venues reveals where conviction is strongest and whether one community holds a more bullish or bearish view than the other.
Major catalysts include Ethereum network upgrades, regulatory announcements, macroeconomic data (inflation, interest rates), Bitcoin price action, and shifts in institutional crypto adoption. On-chain metrics like staking rates and exchange inflows can signal trader positioning. Broader market events—such as central bank policy shifts or geopolitical developments—often ripple into crypto sentiment. Technical levels and options expiry dates may also trigger volatility. Monitoring these signals helps traders anticipate odds swings and adjust positions before consensus shifts.
