This event group tracks whether Ethereum (ETH/USDT) closes higher than or equal to its opening price during a specific 1-hour candle on June 27 at 10PM ET, using Binance as the authoritative price source. Resolution is binary: 'Up' if close >= open, otherwise 'Down'.
This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.

Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader cohorts, liquidity depths, and fee structures, which can create temporary price gaps. Polymarket may see heavier volume from one directional bias, while Predict reflects a different user base's conviction. Arbitrage opportunities exist when the spread widens, but transaction costs and withdrawal delays can prevent instant convergence. Market microstructure—order book depth, slippage, and platform-specific incentives—also plays a role. Monitoring both venues helps you spot where smart money is positioning and whether consensus is truly balanced or fragmented across platforms.
Macro catalysts—Federal Reserve announcements, inflation data, or equity market swings—often drive crypto directional bets. Ethereum-specific news, such as network upgrades, staking changes, or major smart contract developments, can shift trader positioning. Regulatory headlines affecting crypto broadly may trigger sharp repricing. Technical levels and options expiry clustering can also influence short-term momentum. Monitoring on-chain metrics like whale transactions and exchange inflows helps gauge conviction shifts. Large liquidations in leveraged positions can accelerate moves in either direction, so watch for volatility spikes near the resolution window.
