The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.

Prediction market odds often diverge from spot price momentum because they incorporate longer-term uncertainty and trader risk appetite, not just technical momentum. While spot prices reflect immediate supply and demand, this market aggregates forward-looking conviction across many participants. If the odds show a significant lean toward one direction, it may signal that traders expect a catalyst or volatility event that spot charts alone don't capture. Comparing the two can reveal whether the market is pricing in tail risk or consensus complacency.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome—Ethereum Up or Ethereum Down—has a price between 0 and 1 that reflects the collective belief in its likelihood. As traders place orders, the price adjusts in real time, and the current odds are always visible on the market card. This continuous pricing mechanism ensures that the market reflects the most recent information and sentiment available to active participants.
This market resolves around Jun 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result hinges on whether Ethereum's price at that specific moment is higher or lower than its starting level. Once the snapshot time passes and price data is finalized, the winning outcome is locked in and traders' positions settle accordingly. Resolution is automatic and transparent, with no manual intervention required.
Major catalysts include Federal Reserve policy announcements, Bitcoin price swings, Ethereum network upgrades or security incidents, and macroeconomic data releases. Regulatory news—especially from the SEC or international bodies—can shift sentiment sharply. Large exchange inflows or outflows, whale wallet activity, and derivative market positioning also influence short-term directional bias. Technical support and resistance levels may trigger algorithmic trading, while social media narratives and on-chain metrics can amplify volatility in the final hours before the snapshot.
