Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Ethereum price movement market dashboard displays real-time odds for whether ETH will move up or down during the specified four-hour window on June 25. The interface shows current trader positioning, historical price snapshots, and live order flow as participants buy and sell shares tied to each outcome. This market aggregates the collective expectations of traders into a single probability estimate, updated continuously as new trades execute. The dashboard also reflects cumulative trading activity, giving you visibility into how conviction around each outcome has evolved since the market opened.

Prediction market odds reflect what traders are willing to pay for exposure to each outcome, which often diverges from spot price momentum alone. While technical analysts and on-chain metrics may signal directional bias, this market prices in broader factors: macro sentiment, liquidity conditions, and tail-risk hedging. Comparing the odds here to analyst forecasts or social media consensus can reveal where the crowd's conviction lies. If this market shows strong skew toward one outcome while traditional indicators remain neutral, it may signal that informed traders are pricing in information not yet reflected in casual price-watching.

On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling binary outcome shares in an automated market maker pool. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on one outcome, and the price you see reflects the ratio of capital allocated to each side. As more traders back one outcome, its price rises and the opposing outcome's price falls, creating a self-correcting mechanism. The market price converges toward the true probability as new information arrives and traders arbitrage mispricings, ensuring that the displayed odds remain a live consensus estimate.

This market resolves around Jun 26, 2026, after the four-hour trading window closes. The outcome is determined by verifying Ethereum's price movement against credible public sources, confirming whether ETH moved up or down during the specified period. Once the event is observable and confirmed, the market settles and winning shares are redeemed at full value. Traders should monitor the market closely as the resolution window approaches, as late-breaking price action or news can shift odds sharply in the final minutes.

Major catalysts include macroeconomic announcements, Federal Reserve commentary, or significant developments in crypto regulation that affect risk appetite. On-chain metrics such as large whale transactions, exchange inflows, or shifts in staking activity can also sway trader positioning. Technical levels and support or resistance zones may trigger algorithmic trading, amplifying price swings. Additionally, broader equity market moves, Bitcoin volatility, or unexpected news from major Ethereum ecosystem projects could reshape expectations about the four-hour window's direction. Real-time monitoring of news feeds and on-chain data will help you anticipate market repricing.
