This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.

Prediction market odds on this market reveal what traders collectively expect Ethereum's price direction to be, independent of current spot prices. While spot exchanges show the live trading price of ETH, prediction markets isolate directional sentiment—up or down—by a fixed deadline. Comparing the two can highlight whether traders expect momentum, reversals, or consolidation. Prediction odds often incorporate forward-looking signals (news, technical levels, macro events) that spot prices alone may not fully reflect, making them a complementary lens to traditional price analysis.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling binary outcome shares—one for Ethereum Up, one for Ethereum Down. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share floats between 0 and 1 (or 0–100 cents), with the sum of both outcomes always equaling 1. As more traders buy the Up outcome, its price rises and the Down price falls, continuously updating the implied probability. This automated market mechanism ensures transparent, real-time pricing driven entirely by participant demand.
This market resolves around Jun 25, 2026, at which point the outcome is determined by whether Ethereum's price has moved up or down from its opening level at that moment. The result is verified against credible public sources to confirm the directional move. Once the event is verifiable and the outcome is finalized, traders' positions settle according to which side they backed.
Several catalysts can shift this market's odds before the June 25 deadline. Ethereum network upgrades, regulatory announcements, macroeconomic data (inflation, interest rates), Bitcoin price action, and major institutional news all influence directional sentiment. Technical levels and support/resistance zones matter too—if ETH approaches a key threshold, traders may adjust positions. Broader crypto market sentiment, DeFi protocol developments, and on-chain metrics (staking, transaction volume) can also trigger repricing as new information emerges.
