Frequently asked questions

On Predict, the Ethereum price direction market dashboard displays real-time odds for whether ETH will trade up or down by the 4 PM ET deadline on Jun 23, 2026. The interface shows the current probability assigned to each outcome, along with historical price movement and trading activity. You can monitor how sentiment shifts as new information emerges, track cumulative volume, and observe which direction traders are favoring. This live data helps you gauge market consensus on Ethereum's near-term direction and identify potential trading opportunities before resolution.

Prediction market odds reflect what traders collectively believe will happen, whereas spot price expectations are based on current market valuation and technical analysis. This market aggregates the conviction of many participants betting real capital, which often incorporates forward-looking sentiment that spot prices alone may not capture. When odds diverge significantly from analyst forecasts or technical signals, it can signal either an opportunity or a warning. Comparing the two helps you identify whether the crowd is pricing in risks that traditional analysis has overlooked.

On Predict, traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome, and the market price reflects the collective bids and asks across the platform. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The odds update continuously as new trades execute, meaning early movers can lock in better prices before consensus shifts. Share prices range from near zero to near one dollar, with the sum of all outcomes always totaling one dollar. This mechanism ensures that the market price always represents the true probability traders are willing to stake capital on.

This market resolves around Jun 23, 2026, at which point the outcome is confirmed based on Ethereum's verified price direction at that time. The result will be determined by comparing ETH's price at the specified deadline against its opening level, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. Resolution is final once the data is locked in.

Major catalysts include regulatory announcements affecting Ethereum, macroeconomic shifts in risk appetite, Bitcoin price movements, network upgrades or technical developments, and broader crypto market sentiment swings. Institutional adoption news, staking yield changes, and layer-two scaling updates can also influence trader conviction. Additionally, geopolitical events, central bank policy shifts, and traditional finance volatility often ripple into crypto markets. Monitoring these signals helps you anticipate when odds might shift and when to adjust your position before resolution.
