This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect collective trader expectations about Ethereum's directional move by Jun 2, 2026, which may diverge from current spot price momentum. While spot markets react to immediate price action, prediction markets price in longer-term sentiment and event risk over the full forecast window. Comparing Polymarket odds to analyst forecasts and on-chain metrics can reveal whether the market is pricing in bullish or bearish catalysts that spot traders may not yet have fully discounted.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, the Ethereum Up or Down - June 2, 12PM ET contract is priced as a binary outcome with two competing positions: one betting on an up move and one on a down move by the deadline. Traders buy and sell shares at prices between 0 and 1 cent, with the implied probability derived from the order book depth and recent trades. Liquidity and volume on Polymarket determine how quickly prices adjust to new information and how tightly bid-ask spreads remain.
The market resolves on Jun 2, 2026. At that time, the outcome is determined by whether Ethereum's price has moved up or down relative to the specified baseline. Resolution occurs automatically once the reference price is confirmed, and all positions settle according to the winning outcome. Traders should verify the exact price source and measurement methodology in the market details to understand how the final determination will be made.
Key catalysts include major Ethereum network upgrades, regulatory announcements affecting crypto markets, macroeconomic data influencing risk appetite, Bitcoin price movements, and changes in DeFi protocol activity or security incidents. Technical levels and support or resistance zones may also trigger momentum shifts. On-chain metrics such as whale transactions, exchange inflows, and staking changes can signal institutional positioning. Monitoring these signals alongside Polymarket odds helps traders anticipate directional moves before the June 2 deadline.
