Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Ethereum price movement market dashboard displays real-time odds for whether ETH will trade up or down at a specific moment on June 13. The interface shows current bid-ask spreads, historical price charts, and trading volume to help you monitor how the market is pricing Ethereum's directional move. You can track how sentiment shifts as the event date approaches and compare current odds against your own price expectations for that snapshot in time.

Prediction market odds reflect what traders collectively believe will happen, whereas spot price expectations depend on technical analysis, on-chain metrics, and macroeconomic sentiment. This market aggregates real money bets, so odds often diverge from casual forecasts or analyst calls. If you believe the consensus odds undervalue or overvalue the likelihood of an up move, you can trade against that view. The gap between market pricing and your conviction is where trading opportunity emerges.

On Polymarket, traders set the odds through an automated market maker that adjusts prices based on buy and sell pressure. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome token trades between 0 and 1, where the price represents the implied probability. When more traders buy the up outcome, its price rises and the down outcome falls accordingly. This continuous pricing mechanism ensures the market reflects the latest information and sentiment about Ethereum's directional move on that date.

This market resolves around Jun 13, 2026, when the specified time window closes. The outcome is determined by whether Ethereum's price moved up or down at that moment, verified against credible public sources such as major exchange data or price feeds. Once the event is confirmed and verifiable, the winning outcome is locked in and traders receive payouts based on their positions. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the event time.

Major catalysts include Ethereum network upgrades, regulatory announcements, macroeconomic data releases, and Bitcoin price swings, since ETH often correlates with broader crypto sentiment. Large institutional trades, changes in staking yields, or shifts in DeFi activity can also shift trader conviction. Real-time news about security vulnerabilities, competing Layer 2 solutions, or shifts in Fed policy may trigger rapid repricing. Watch on-chain metrics like exchange inflows and whale movements for early signals of directional bias.
