This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy and sell shares representing "Up" or "Down" outcomes. The market price of each share reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring by resolution. Traders profit by correctly predicting Ethereum's direction; the winning outcome resolves to a fixed payout while the losing side expires worthless. Polymarket's automated market maker and order book mechanisms allow continuous price discovery, with the spread between bid and ask prices indicating liquidity and conviction levels among participants.
The Ethereum Up or Down - June 10, 11PM ET market resolves at Jun 11, 2026. Resolution is determined by comparing Ethereum's price at that exact moment against a reference baseline to establish whether the outcome is "Up" or "Down." The specific price source and comparison methodology are defined in the market's terms at creation. Once the resolution time passes, the market settles automatically based on the verified price data, and winning shares are paid out while losing shares expire worthless.
Several catalysts could shift Ethereum's price direction by Jun 11, 2026. Macro developments include Federal Reserve policy announcements, equity market volatility, and Bitcoin price action, which often leads altcoin moves. Ethereum-specific triggers include major protocol upgrades, staking yield changes, or significant smart contract exploits. Regulatory news—such as SEC guidance on ETH classification or enforcement actions—can create sharp directional swings. Technical levels, options expiry dates, and large liquidation cascades on leverage platforms may also accelerate momentum. Monitoring on-chain metrics like exchange inflows and whale transactions can provide early signals of directional intent.
