This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this binary event is priced as two complementary outcomes: Ethereum Up and Ethereum Down. Each outcome trades as a separate contract, with prices summing to approximately 100 cents. The current odds reflect accumulated trader positions and recent order flow on Polymarket's order book. Prices move continuously as new bets arrive, and liquidity depth determines how large trades impact the quoted price. Monitoring Polymarket's price history helps you identify support and resistance levels where conviction shifts.
The market resolves at Jun 2, 2026. At that moment, Ethereum's price direction relative to the specified baseline determines which outcome wins. Traders who backed the correct direction receive their payout; those on the losing side forfeit their stake. The resolution is binary, so there is no partial settlement or draw. All positions close automatically once the outcome is confirmed, and funds are returned to winning traders' accounts on Polymarket.
Major catalysts include Ethereum network upgrades, regulatory announcements, macroeconomic shifts, and Bitcoin price movements, since Ethereum often correlates with BTC. Staking developments, DeFi protocol news, and large whale transactions can also drive sentiment. Technical levels and options expiry dates may trigger volatility spikes. Market-wide risk-off events or central bank policy shifts could push Ethereum lower, while positive institutional adoption news or yield opportunities could drive it higher. Monitoring on-chain metrics, social sentiment, and derivatives positioning helps traders anticipate directional moves before Jun 2, 2026.
