This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect trader consensus on Ethereum's directional move by June 1, 8PM ET, which often diverges from spot-price momentum alone. While spot prices react to immediate volatility and technical levels, prediction markets incorporate longer-term sentiment, macro catalysts, and event-specific risk. Comparing Polymarket odds to analyst forecasts and on-chain metrics can reveal whether the market is pricing in tail risks or consensus bullish/bearish scenarios that spot traders may underweight. This gap often signals trading opportunities for informed participants.
The Ethereum Up or Down - June 1, 8PM ET market resolves on Jun 2, 2026. At that time, the outcome is determined by whether Ethereum's price moved up or down relative to a specified reference level at the exact resolution timestamp. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing shares expire worthless. The resolution process is final once confirmed, and all positions settle automatically on Polymarket.
Key catalysts for Ethereum price direction include Federal Reserve policy announcements, Bitcoin volatility, Ethereum network upgrades or security incidents, and macroeconomic data releases. Regulatory news—especially from the SEC or international bodies—can trigger sharp directional moves. On-chain metrics such as staking changes, whale transactions, and developer activity may also influence sentiment. Market-wide risk-off events, options expiry clustering, and derivative liquidation cascades can amplify volatility. Monitoring these signals alongside Polymarket order flow helps traders anticipate directional shifts before June 1, 8PM ET.
