This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect trader consensus on Ethereum's direction at June 1, 5AM ET, which may diverge from current spot price momentum or analyst forecasts. While spot markets price Ethereum's immediate value, prediction markets isolate expectations for a specific future moment. Comparing Polymarket odds to analyst sentiment or historical volatility patterns can reveal whether traders expect mean reversion, continuation, or a catalyst-driven move. The gap between current spot trends and market-implied probabilities often signals where informed traders see edge.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, the Ethereum Up or Down - June 1, 5AM ET event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy and sell shares representing "Up" or "Down" outcomes. The current market probability reflects the collective bets of all participants. Share prices range from 0 to 1 (or 0% to 100%), with the spread between bid and ask prices indicating liquidity and conviction. As new information emerges—regulatory news, technical levels, macroeconomic shifts—traders adjust positions, moving the probability in real time until the June 1, 5AM ET resolution point.
Key catalysts include major regulatory announcements, Federal Reserve policy shifts, Bitcoin price action, and Ethereum-specific developments such as network upgrades or institutional adoption news. Macroeconomic data—inflation reports, interest rate decisions—often drive broad crypto sentiment. Technical levels and options expiry dates can trigger sharp moves. On-chain metrics like exchange inflows or whale transactions may signal accumulation or distribution. Geopolitical events and traditional market volatility can spill into crypto. Traders monitor these signals to adjust their Up or Down positions ahead of the June 1, 5AM ET snapshot.
