This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the ETH/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect traders' consensus on Ethereum's direction, which often diverges from passive spot-price momentum. While spot markets react to immediate price action, prediction markets incorporate forward-looking sentiment and longer-term positioning. Comparing Polymarket implied probabilities to analyst forecasts or on-chain metrics can reveal whether the market is pricing in optimism or caution relative to technical expectations. Significant gaps between prediction odds and spot-price trends may signal contrarian opportunities or emerging consensus shifts among active traders.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this binary event is priced as two complementary outcome tokens: one for Ethereum moving up and one for moving down by Jun 1, 2026. The price of each token reflects the market's implied probability, ranging from 0 to 1 (or 0% to 100%). Traders buy and sell these tokens based on their conviction, with the combined prices always summing to 1. Liquidity and order-book depth on Polymarket determine how easily traders can enter or exit positions, and prices adjust continuously as new trades flow in.
The market resolves at Jun 1, 2026. Resolution is determined by Ethereum's price movement relative to a specified baseline at the exact resolution timestamp. Traders should verify the precise reference price and measurement methodology in the market's terms before trading. Once the resolution time arrives, the outcome is finalized and winning tokens become redeemable for their full value while losing tokens expire worthless. Early resolution or delays are possible in rare circumstances; always review the market's official rules.
Major catalysts include macroeconomic announcements, Federal Reserve policy signals, and Bitcoin price movements, since Ethereum typically correlates with BTC. Ethereum-specific events such as network upgrades, regulatory news, or large exchange inflows or outflows can trigger sharp directional moves. On-chain metrics like whale accumulation, staking changes, and developer activity may also shift trader sentiment. Geopolitical tensions, traditional market volatility, and shifts in risk appetite across crypto broadly can amplify or reverse Ethereum's momentum heading into the June 1, 2AM ET resolution window.
