Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Ethereum price movement market dashboard displays real-time odds for whether ETH will trade up or down by the July 2 deadline. The interface shows current bid-ask spreads, historical price charts, and trading volume to help you monitor sentiment shifts. You can track how traders are positioning ahead of the resolution date, review past trades, and compare current odds against your own price expectations. This live data reflects the collective forecast of active market participants.

Prediction market odds often diverge from spot price momentum because they incorporate longer-term uncertainty and tail risk. While a spot exchange shows the current ETH price, this market reflects traders' consensus on directional movement over a specific window. Prediction odds tend to be more conservative when volatility is high and more confident when technical or fundamental signals align. Comparing the two reveals whether the market is pricing in mean reversion, breakout potential, or consolidation—insights that pure price action alone may not convey.

On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling shares of each outcome—up or down. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the implied probability; if up shares trade at 0.65, the market is pricing a 65% chance of that outcome. Liquidity pools or order books match buyers and sellers in real time, so prices update continuously as new information arrives or sentiment shifts. Your entry price depends on the current spread and order flow at the moment you trade.

This market resolves around Jul 2, 2026, at which point the outcome is confirmed against credible public sources. The winning side is determined by whether Ethereum's price moved up or down relative to the reference point established at market creation. Once the event is verifiable from established market data, the platform finalizes the result and distributes winnings to holders of the correct outcome shares. All traders receive settlement shortly after verification is complete.

Major catalysts include Ethereum network upgrades, regulatory announcements, macroeconomic shifts, and Bitcoin price action—since ETH often correlates with BTC. Staking yield changes, DeFi protocol developments, and large whale transactions can also shift trader conviction. Technical levels and options expiry dates may trigger momentum shifts, while broader crypto sentiment swings tied to Fed policy or institutional adoption news frequently reshape odds. Monitor on-chain metrics, developer activity, and market structure for early signals of directional bias.
