The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.

Prediction market odds often diverge from spot price momentum because they incorporate forward-looking sentiment and tail-risk hedging. While a spot exchange shows the current price, this market reflects traders' probabilistic bets on direction over a specific window. If major news or technical levels emerge, odds can shift faster than price itself, as participants position ahead of potential moves. Comparing the two reveals whether the market is pricing in optimism or caution beyond what current price action alone would suggest.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on one outcome, and the price of that share reflects the collective probability assigned by the market. As more capital flows into the "Up" or "Down" side, the odds shift accordingly. This continuous pricing mechanism ensures that the market remains responsive to new information and trader conviction throughout the event window.
This market resolves around Jul 1, 2026, once the event window closes and Ethereum's price direction can be verified. The outcome is confirmed against credible public sources, such as major exchange data or widely-recognized price feeds. Traders who backed the correct direction receive their payout, while the opposing side forfeits their stake. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the deadline, allowing winners to withdraw funds promptly.
Macroeconomic announcements, Federal Reserve communications, and Bitcoin price swings often trigger sharp moves in Ethereum sentiment. Major protocol upgrades, regulatory news, or large exchange inflows can shift trader conviction rapidly. Technical levels and options expiry dates may also create volatility clusters. Additionally, shifts in broader risk appetite—such as equity market rallies or flight-to-safety episodes—tend to correlate with Ethereum directional bets. Monitoring on-chain metrics and derivatives positioning can help anticipate momentum shifts before they fully price in.
