The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.

Prediction market odds often diverge from spot price momentum because they incorporate forward-looking sentiment and tail-risk hedging rather than just recent price action. While a spot exchange shows the current traded price, this market reflects what traders collectively believe will happen at a specific future moment. Analysts and traders use both signals: spot prices reveal immediate supply and demand, while prediction odds reveal conviction about directional moves over a defined interval. The two can align or diverge depending on whether recent volatility is seen as sustainable or mean-reverting.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling binary outcome shares in an automated market maker. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share of the "Up" or "Down" outcome trades at a price between 0 and 1, where the sum of both prices equals 1. As traders accumulate positions, the price adjusts to reflect the current probability consensus. Higher trading volume typically narrows spreads and increases price precision, while lower volume can widen the gap between bid and ask prices.
This market resolves around Jul 1, 2026, when the Ethereum price direction at the specified time becomes verifiable. The outcome is determined by comparing ETH's price at that snapshot moment against its opening level for the resolution window. Once the event is confirmed through credible public reporting, the market settles and traders receive payouts based on their positions. Early resolution is possible if the outcome becomes mathematically certain before the scheduled time.
Major catalysts include Ethereum network upgrades, regulatory announcements affecting crypto markets, macroeconomic data releases, Bitcoin price swings, and changes in staking yields or DeFi activity. Technical levels and options expiry dates can also drive short-term volatility. Geopolitical events, central bank communications, or shifts in institutional adoption sentiment may influence broader crypto sentiment. Traders monitor on-chain metrics, derivatives positioning, and social sentiment to anticipate directional moves ahead of the resolution window.
