Polymarket
This market tracks whether the price of Ethereum will be above $2,500 on September 11, 2026. Currently, Polymarket gives a 100.0% probability to that outcome. Resolution will be based on the 12:00 PM ET Binance ETH/USDT 1-minute candle close price, as reported directly from Binance at https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT. Keep a close eye on the ETH/USDT price action leading up to September 11, 2026, as the final Binance price at noon ET on that date will determine the market’s outcome.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Binance 1 minute candle for ETH/USDT 12:00 in the ET timezone (noon) on the date specified in the title has a final "Close" price higher than the price specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market is Binance, specifically the ETH/USDT "Close" prices currently available at https://www.binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT with "1m" and "Candles" selected on the top bar. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance ETH/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs. Price precision is determined by the number of decimal places in the source.
Prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional spot price expectations. While spot prices are influenced by immediate supply and demand, this market aggregates the beliefs of many traders about the future price of Ethereum. If a significant number of traders believe Ethereum will be above a certain level on September 11, 2026, the odds will shift accordingly. This can sometimes lead to discrepancies between prediction market probabilities and those implied by traditional financial instruments or analyst forecasts.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief about the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the probability of Ethereum being above the specified price on the resolution date. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined by the forces of supply and demand, with traders adjusting their bids and asks based on new information and their own assessments of the likelihood of the event. This creates a dynamic and real-time estimate of market sentiment.
This market resolves around Sep 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on a publicly available and widely recognized source for the Ethereum price at the specified time. The platform will determine whether Ethereum’s price meets the conditions defined in the market’s description, and payouts will be distributed to traders holding shares accordingly. This ensures a transparent and objective resolution process.
Several signals or events could significantly impact this market. Major developments in Ethereum’s technology, such as successful upgrades or security breaches, could influence trader sentiment. Broader macroeconomic factors, like changes in interest rates or inflation, could also play a role. Regulatory announcements concerning cryptocurrency, particularly Ethereum, are likely to cause price fluctuations and shifts in the market. Finally, significant adoption of Ethereum by institutions or large corporations could also move this market considerably before Sep 11, 2026.
